NORFOLK -- Police say a Norfolk couple were tied up and held at gunpoint by three suspects who stole all of their Christmas presents Tuesday morning.
It happened around 9 a.m. in the 3400 block of Thomas Street.
According to city spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson the husband and wife had just dropped their three children off at school and came home to find three black males burglarizing their home. They were confronted at gunpoint by the suspects and then tied up with a phone cord.
The couple told police the men wore hoods so they didn't get a good look at them. The suspects left the scene in the victim's car.
According to the couple's neighbor, the victim ran to her door after getting loose and explained how they were told to face down while the suspects stole all of their Christmas gifts.
The neighbor said the victim is a good-hearted woman and the mother of a 2, 5 and 7-year-old.
"I don't understand how people could do that to her and her kids," the neighbor said.
No injuries were reported.
