12/6 UPDATE: Authorities arrested Brian Anthony Powell, 27, of Kill Devil Hills, NC shortly before 8:00 p.m. Thursday in Rockingham County, NC. He is charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny, and Safecracking.
His bond has been set $30,000 and he is still in custody as of this morning, according to the Sheriff's Office.  Aurhorities say he's the man who was carrying the safe.

CURRITUCK CO., NC-Three people broke into a North Carolina restaurant and stole the safe.

Photos from Currituck BBQ Company show a man carrying the safe away and two other people with hooded jackets running across the lot.

According to the company's Facebook page, the actual break-in was closer to midnight not 12:40 am as the surveillance video time stamp shows.

They got in through a side door and went right to the office to get the safe. Nothing else was taken.

The Sheriff's Office says a woman and two men, likely in their 20s to early 30s, were involved.  They believe the woman is white; one of the men appears to be African-American with a goatee and may have cornrows. The race of the third person hasn't been determined

If you can help find these people or know anything about the robbery, call the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office at 252-453-8204.
