NORFOLK -- A woman who was on the run for three years was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Norfolk Thursday morning.
Officials Erica Arnold was wanted by Chesapeake police on multiple warrants for guns and drug offenses.
According to the U.S. Marshals office, Arnold left a home on 26th street in Norfolk and got into the passenger side of a vehicle. Deputies and task force agents conducted a traffic stop and Arnold was immediately taken into custody without incident.
“Our deputies showed patience in the handling of this case. As the great boxer, Joe Louis, who may have said it first, ‘you can run but you cannot hide.’ Deputy US Marshals and our Task Force partners are true professionals in all that they do in the fugitive mission,” U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson said.
The U.S. Marshals led task force consists of law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals, Chesapeake Sheriff’s Department, Newport News Police Department, Portsmouth Police Department and Norfolk Police Department.
