NORFOLK -- A woman was injured when her car hit an SUV on the Berkley Bridge in Norfolk during the morning rush.

The driver said her car skidded and hit the SUV as she took the I-264 off ramp towards Harbor Park and Tidewater Drive around 8:00 a.m.  The vehicles spun around and ended up facing in the wrong direction.

Both lanes were briefly closed so the vehicles could be moved and the injured driver could be taken to the hospital.  The other driver wasn't hurt.

All lanes are now open, but at 8:45 a.m., traffic was backed up into Portsmouth -- to Frederick Blvd. on I-264 East and to Poindexter on I-664 North.
