VIRGINIA BEACH-- If you’re looking to make home improvements, you can get expert tips this weekend.

March 1-3 is the Tidewater Builders Association’s 28th annual Mid-Atlantic Home & Garden Show at the Virginia Beach Convention center.

You’ll find all sorts of exhibits, like automotive, bathroom remodeling, cabinetry, decks and patios, gutter protection, and energy efficiency.  That’s just the beginning of the list of vendors.

You can even find ideas to prepare your home for hurricanes. There's a new product to replace plywood when boarding up your house. It's created by storm stoppers, and you can learn more at their website.

The event lasts Saturday night until 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $3 for children. Children under 6 years old get in free. Active-duty and retired military and senior citizens receive a $1 discount. Parking is free.
