SNOWSHOE, WVA - The first snow of the season has fallen at Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia.
About an inch had fallen by early Wednesday evening at the ski resort in the Allegheny Mountains.
Resort officials say it was cold enough for them to turn on the snow guns and begin making snow.
If all goes as planned and Mother Nature is on our side, we will be in great shape for our opening day November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving, officials said.
Snowshoe is celebrating its 40th birthday this year.
