RICHMOND(AP) -- Virginia State Police are investigating the death of a man found at an Albemarle County rest stop.

State police say someone reported a man was unresponsive in his parked vehicle at the rest stop on Interstate 64 at the 105 mile marker around 8 a.m. Monday. He was determined to be dead, and the man's body was sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy.

The rest area was closed until 3 p.m.

State police did not release the man's name because next of kin were being notified.
