CHESAPEAKE -- Two people were injured after a shooting near a hotel Saturday night.
Police responded to a call about an injured person at the Red Roof Inn on Woodlake Drive at 10:50 p.m. One person was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Norfolk General Hospital.
A spokesperson with the police department says hours later, investigators determined that a second person was injured at the same location. That victim was discovered after arriving at Norfolk General.
Both of their conditions are unknown at this time. Their names have not been released.
Investigators believe both victims were involved in an altercation that included several people. The suspect is described as a black make in his early 20's wearing a black shirt and jeans.
The incident remains under investigation.
