Two men wanted for robbing Newport News store at gunpoint

NEWPORT NEWS -- Police are looking for two men who they say robbed a convenience store clerk at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

According to police, two masked men entered the 7-Eleven at 2601 Jefferson Avenue around 2 a.m. and demanded cash at gunpoint.

Police say the suspects took money from the register and then fled the store southbound.

Two clerks and a customer were inside the business when it was robbed.  No one was injured.

One of the suspects is described as a 17 to 18-year-old thin, black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and was wearing a black hooded-jacket with fur around the hood, white mask, and solid black shoes.

The second suspect is described as a thin, black male, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, and was wearing a camouflage, Gore Tex-style jacket, black jeans, and white shoes.
