MIDDLESEX COUNTY--Three security officers face murder charges following an altercation at a Middlesex campground.

Police have charged 49-year-old Phillip Harris, 40-year-old Christopher Fogg, and 29-year-old Jorge Torres with felony murder, lynching, and abduction.

According to police, Edwin Hughes died Sunday at the Bush Park Campground in Deltaville, Middlesex County.

Harris and Fogg were security guards at the campground and Torres was working the entrance gate.

Police say Hughes was driving a golf cart when one of the security guards told Hughes to turn on his lights. Hughes allegedly got out of his golf cart and pushed one of the security guards.  A physical altercation between Hughes and the three security guards ensued.

According to police, when deputies arrived on the scene, they found Hughes unresponsive. He died on the way to Walter Reed Hospital.

All three men are being held in the Middlesex Regional Security Center.
