ELIZABETH CITY, NC- Three teens have been charged in connection with the shooting of a woman who police say tried to break up a fight Saturday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to 703 Second Street in Elizabeth City just after 5 p.m. on Saturday for a call of a woman shot in the neck. The found the victim, Julie Anette Reed, lying beside a vehicle with several people people surrounding her.

The victim told police she was attempting to break up a fight when she was shot in the neck.  She was take to Sentara Norfolk Hospital for treatment.

16-year-old Jamir Trequan Brazzle is being charged as an adult with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill.

18-year-old Dazir Davante Bonds and 17-year-old Willis Alonzo George Jr. are both charged with Felony Accessory After the Fact.

All three are being held at the Albemarle District Jail.
