CHESAPEAKE -- A 15 year old accused of bomb threats at schools, is not a student at the schools.
Sources tell 13News, the girl is home schooled. The teenager was arrested Friday in connection with bomb threats against two Chesapeake schools.
The 15-year-old is accused of phoning in threats to both Oscar Smith Middle and Oscar Smith High Schools on April 17th. A search at both schools revealed no signs of explosives.
Earlier in the day emergency dispatchers received a call about a suspicious package discovered at an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Linster Street.
Investigators discovered nothing hazardous inside the package. The same juvenile has also been charged in the case.
The teen faces three counts of communicating a bomb threat. Each charge is considered a Class 5 felony.
After being arrested she was transported to Chesapeake Juvenile Services where she remains in custody.
