Swap your filp-flops for coupons

Fourth grader, Brian Malsch, and second grader, John Lane, are admiring their first shipment of recyclable flip flops. Windsor Oaks in only one week into their month long recycling project, and 22 families have donated a whopping 25 pounds worth of old rubber flip flops!

VIRGINIA BEACH-- Students at Windsor Oaks Elementary School in Virginia Beach want you to swap your old flip-flops for Old Navy coupons.

The flip-flops will be recycled and kept out of Virginia Beach area landfills.

The group that collects the most flip-flops in the country will receive $1,000 for their school or charity.  If Windsor Oaks wins, the money will be used for student activities.

Residents can drop off flip-flops at Windsor Oaks Elementary School, 3800 Van Buren Drive from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
