SUFFOLK -- Police say a Suffolk middle school student had a knife on the school bus.
They stress no one on the bus bound for John Yeates Middle School was threatened.
The knife was recovered by the principal when the bus arrived Wednesday morning, City spokeswoman Diana Klink told WVEC.com.
The knife carried by the 6th grader was wooden and carved, there was no metal blade, added Suffolk Schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw.
The boy has been suspended and recommended for expulsion based on our weapons policy, she added.
