Suffolk gas leak
SUFFOLK-- Several homes in the 200 block of Burnetts Way in Suffolk were evacuated Thursday afternoon because of a gas leak.
A contractor notified police that a gas line had been damaged around 3:45 p.m.,
Crews capped the leak in the Burnetts Mill subdivision and the scene cleared at 5:06 p.m.
All residents were allowed to return to their homes and the area was reopened to traffic.
