SUFFOLK -- Some schools in Suffolk will begin starting 15 minutes later.

Our partners at the Virginian-Pilot report that school board members voted Thursday night to delay start times at several elementary schools to 9:30 a.m.

They say the move is an effort to improve bus arrival and departure times.

The new 9:30 schedule goes into effect Monday, October 28th.

The schools impacted are Creekside, Driver, Florence Bowser, Hillpoint, Mack Benn, Jr., and Nansemond Parkway.
