Portsmouth child death
PORTSMOUTH-- Portsmouth police are investigating the death of a six-year-old boy.
Police said they received a 911 call stating the child in a home in the 300 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue was unresponsive. According to police, family members called for help just before 9:00 a.m. after they tried to wake up the child.
Investigators stated there was no apparent trauma to his body and there were no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy will be done to determine what caused the boy's death.
His name is not being released right now and police continue their investigation.
