HAMPTON -- Police continue searching for suspects connected to an overnight shooting that left one person injured.

Sergeant Jason Price, with Hampton Police, advises that emergency dispatchers received a call about a person down in the 900 block of North King Street.

The call came in at 4:36 a.m. and when crews responded to the area they found a woman suffering from a single gunshot wound to her upper body.

The 55-year-old victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital with injuries considered to be critical.

There are no details regarding possible suspects or a motive in the shooting.
