WILLIAMSBURG -- Police say a Williamsburg woman left her young child home alone.
Police were called to the 900 block of Capitol Landing Road Thursday afternoon about a crying baby that had been left alone.
The child's mother, 25-year-old Kristin Marie Kelly, arrived just before police arrived, authorities said.
Investigators determined the child, who is under the age of one, had been left more than five minutes and no more than an hour, said spokesman Major Greg Riley.
The child wasn't hurt, he added. Kelly has been charged with neglect.
