CHESAPEAKE-Two people are charged with murder after two people were found dead inside a Chesapeake home.
Ryan Martinez and Airika Liljegren were staying at the home on Monarch Reach, police said Friday.
Police found them at the house when officers went to check on the the welfare of a woman who hadn't shown up for work in several days.
Neighbors say that an older couple lives in the house with their adult son.
"I'm hoping it's not them," said Glenn Smith, who's lived in the Dominion Lakes neighborhood for five years. "It's a nice neighborhood. All the years I've been here, this is the worst thing that's ever happened," he said.
The victims have been identified as 54-year-old Cindy Jensen-Ellet and 59-year-old Anthony Barone. Police were able to identify them through the use of finger prints and dental records.
Martinez, 34, is charged with First Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Concealment of a Body. Liljegren, 38, is charged with First Degree Murder and Concealment of a Body.
Police say Martinez was the son of Jensen-Ellet.
