TASLEY -- A truck driver on the Eastern Shore fell asleep at the wheel, causing his rig to go off the road and fall on its side.

It happened around 5 a.m. Monday, on Route 13 South in Tasley.

Trooper Kennedy told WVEC.com the rig was carrying car batteries and about a handful of the pallets were damaged in the crash.

The driver wasn't hurt; troopers have to divert traffic for most of the day - until at least 5 p.m. - for the clean-up.
