PORTSMOUTH -- A 29-year-old man is charged with stabbing a man at a Portsmouth Walmart on Oct. 8.
Police say Calvin Gray attacked the man around 9:00 p.m. inside the Frederick Blvd. store. The victim remains hospitalized.
According to investigators, Gray was hurt as people inside the store tried to subdue him.
Police said at the time a possible motive for the attack is retaliation for a past encounter between Gray and a family member of the victim.
Gray is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute.
