GOOCHLAND CO.-- One Poquoson teen is dead, and two other passengers are injured after the car they were traveling in ran off the road on I-64 Friday night.
18-year-old Rhys Ritter was driving a 1998 silver Mercedes SUV when it hit an embankment and overturned on I-64 west in Goochland County.
Ritter was killed. Another passenger, 18-year-old Timothy Watson was severely injured and taken to the hospital. A third passenger, a 17-year-old male was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
All three teenagers were not wearing their seatbelts.
State Police confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
No other car was involved in the accident.
