KILL DEVIL HILLS -- One person is hospitalized and another is behind bars following a shooting in the parking lot of a Kill Devil Hills condo development Tuesday.
Police have charged 33-year-old James Morris Rose III of Kill Devil Hills with assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill.
Authorities say Rose shot the victim at the Bermuda Bay Condos, in the 1100 block of Cambridge Road, around 5:30 p.m. The victim was transported to Outer Banks Hospital with injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening.
Police continue to investigate and have not released a motive for the shooting.
