OUTER BANKS, NC -- More progress will be made Wednesday in repairing Highway 12 after Hurricane Sandy tore it up in October.
Crews will add a second, thinner layer of asphalt on a section of the highway north of Rodanthe Wednesday.
The first layer of asphalt was put down on Tuesday.
Transportation officials expect the repairs to be finished by Christmas.
