VIRGINIA BEACH -- A motorcyclist was badly hurt when a car changed lanes in front of him Friday morning on I-64.
Virginia State Police say 50-year-old Stephen Fowler made an unsafe lane change around 7:44 a.m. on I-64 East at the Twin Bridges. A motorcycle in the lane hit the back of his Chevy Cruz and was thrown from his bike.
The biker, Richard P. Case II, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life threatening injuries, said Sgt. Michelle Anaya with Virginia State Police.
Fowler, who lives in Virginia Beach, is charged with making an unsafe lane change.
