VIRGINIA BEACH--Support continues in big ways for the Navy Seal Community. A benefit was held Sunday to help the Navy Seal Foundation and the families who lost loved ones in the Afghanistan tragedy last month. Thirty US service members were killed when a Chinook helicopter went down in Afghanistan. Among the dead were several locally based Navy Seals.
Sunday, more than a dozen restaurants and bars partnered for a fundraiser. People enjoyed live music, food and other entertainment in Virginia Beach. Organizers hope to make it an annual event, saying this is their way of thanking the service members and their families for their sacrifice.
