Newport News man wanted for murder, Hampton shooting, and triple shooting

NEWPORT NEWS-- Police in two cities are searching for a man accused of three shootings, one of them deadly.

Saturday night, officers say Tyrek Allen shot and killed a is 22-year-old Darntrell Marque Belle of Hampton. He was found in the 700 block of 36th St.

Earlier that day, Hampton police say Allen was driving with Floyd Taybron. The pair is accused of shooting a man near West Queens St. The victim is expected to survive.

Police have also charged Allen for a triple shooting in Newport News last February. Three men were wounded, but all of them have recovered.

Newport News and Hampton investigators are teaming up to arrest Allen. "The two police agencies are working together and are asking for the community’s assistance in locating Tyrek Allen and end his recent acts of violence and bring him to justice," spokesperson Holly McPherson wrote.
