Suffolk nephew attacked
SUFFOLK -- Police say a 51-year-old man attacked and stabbed his nephew late Monday.
Walter Lee Smith Jr. allegedly went at Jeffery Terry Snow with a box cutter and then doused him with lighter fluid.
According to city spokeswoman Diana Klink, Snow told police he'd been drinking and they got in an argument around 11:30 p.m. That's when Snow alleges Smith pulled a lighter and threatened to burn him.
Snow was taken to the hospital for treatment of a cut to his left side, Klink added.
Smith is in jail on charges of malicious wounding and stabbing in the commission of a felony.
