SUFFOLK -- Display cases filled with Virginia Lottery ticket, packs of cigarettes and gloves were stolen from a Suffolk convenience store early Wednesday.

Police say someone threw a brick through the glass door of  Holiday Food Store in the 1400 block of Holland Road between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m,

Anyone with information about this case can call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

"Once stolen tickets are identified, we have the ability to deactivate those tickets so they can not be cashed at any retailer, and if someone tries to cash them, our system will detect it and the information is shared with local police," spokesman John Hagerty told WVEC.com.

He said the Lottery’s Security Department works with retailers and local police.
