FRANKLIN -- International Paper is celebrating the recent start up of its mill, where 200 workers are now churning out fluff pulp.
Fluff pulp is the absorbent material used in stuff like diapers and medical wipes.
The plant closed in 2010, putting more than 1,000 people out of work, but it just recently started operating again.
The company invested $90 million revamping the mill, which began operation at the end of June. The mill can produce up to 270,000 metric tons of high quality fluff pulp a year.
