NORFOLK-- Although the hurricane season has been quiet so far, Hampton Roads' residents will have an opportunity to ask questions at a town hall meeting Thursday evening.

Experts from Dominion Virginia Power, the National Weather Service and the city will be at the Pretlow Library at 6:15 to address hurricane preparedness concerns.

"Hurricane preparedness seems to be a hot topic, as well as flooding.  So, we are going to tackle both of those- talk about what the threat is," said Director of Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response James Redick.

Redick's advice is to have a kit, have a plan and don't let your guard down.
