UPDATE 12/5:  Officials told 13News now Ladd is out of jail on a $10k secured bond.  He is scheduled to appear in court on February 26, 2014.

CURRITUCK CO., NC-A volunteer with the Grandy fire department is accused of secretly recording inside the women's bunk area of the fire station and a tanning booth.

35-year-old Timothy Allen Ladd Jr. allegedly had a recording device in the fire station and in a tanning booth inside a Radio Shack in Grandy.

The device was found in the fire station in late November and an investigation was launched by the Currituck Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say the device had images from both locations and that Ladd admitted he'd worked at the Radio Shack from 1998 to February 2012.

Detectives are continuing to identify victims. Anyone who patronized the tanning booth inside RadioShack, 6322 Caratoke Hwy., Grandy, NC, between January 1998 and February 2012 should call Detective Ruby Stallings at 252-453-2670, at ext. 4113 between 9am and 4 pm Monday through Friday.

Ladd was arrested around 5:00 p.m. December 4 and charged with Secretly Using a Photographic Device to Gratify Sexual Desire. He's free on $10,000 bond.

He's due in Currituck Co. criminal court on December 9 for a determination of counsel hearing, court officials told 13News Now.
