VIRGINIA BEACH - Several streets near a Va. Beach restaurant are closed down because of a natural gas leak.

Va. Natural Gas and fire department crews have been in the area of Nick's Hospitality Restaurant at 508 Laskin Rd. since just after 11:00 a.m.

VNG spokesman Duane Bourne says repairs are being made to a line cut by a third-party crew working at 524 Laskin Road.

Fire officials tell WVEC.com the leak has been capped, but several streets remain blocked: Laskin Rd. at Baltic Ave and at 30th Street. Also, westbound Laskin Road from Holly Road was expected to be closed until about 1:00 p.m. so VNG crews could repair the line.
