UPDATE: Crews respond to HazMat situation in Va Beach

UPDATE 12/17:  A sheriff's deputy who was serving the homeowner papers saw signs warning of a bio hazard inside the home and called the fire department. 

Authorities say nothing hazardous was found inside the home.

Crews have cleared the scene.

VIRGINIA BEACH -- Crews are investigating a possible HazMat situation in Virginia Beach.

Officials said suspicious materials were found inside an abandoned home in the 4100 block of Peridot Drive Tuesday afternoon.

No injuries have been reported and no evacuations have been ordered.

Hazmat crews and the bomb squad are both responding to the scene.
