Consumer borrowing saw an increase of almost $20 billion in May. That rise, however, is significantly less than the month prior. Much of the increase came from auto and student loans. People usually take out loans when they feel good about the economy. That willingness to take on debt helps to drive consumer spending which accounts for 70 percent of economic activity. Right now, the total outstanding consumer debt is approaching $3.2 trillion.

Could your smartphone help you do a better job brushing your teeth? The folks at Oral-B think so. Its new electric toothbrush uses Bluetooth technology to connect to a phone app. That app keeps track of where you brush and for how long. Want to try it out on your pearly whites? Well, the Oral-B SmartSeries toothbrush goes on sale this Fall.

This Friday is a big day at 7-Eleven. The convenience store will be celebrating its 87th birthday. As usual it'll be giving out free 12-ounce Slurpees, but this year it's expanding the freebie deal for an entire week! All you have to do is download the 7-Eleven app. Once you do so, you can get everything from ice cream bars to cookies, and yes -- even free Big Gulps.
