Looks like more Americans will be traveling for the Labor Day holiday weekend. An airline industry trade group estimates 14 million folks will be flying for the holiday. That's a 2% increase from last year. In order to deal with the higher demand, carriers are expected to increase the number of available seats.
There's also good news if you're planning to travel by car for the holiday. The average price of gas has dropped four cents a gallon in the past two weeks. According to the Lundberg survey, the national average for gas right now is $3.48. That's eight cents less than it was a year ago.
