Seems the winter weather is having an impact on your grocery bill.  That's especially true of the weather in California.  The drought there has force ranchers to liquidate herds, shrinking the cattle population to a 61-year low.  That means beef prices, which are already on the rise, will likely go higher.  The deep freeze that gripped California in December is being blamed for wiping out nearly a quarter of the state's citrus industry.  That's a loss of more than $400 million.

Just days after Radio Shack ran its popular Super Bowl commercial that poked fun at its "been there done that" reputation, the retailer announced it will close 500 stores due to restructuring.  So far, there is no word on which stores will be closed or how soon the closings will happen.

If you're looking for a peaceful night's sleep, you might want to check out the new "snore-activated nudging pillow."  When the built-in microphone detects snoring, it triggers the pillow to inflate. Once that happens, it causes the sleeper to shift position in bed and hopefully stop snoring.  It's available at Hammacher Schlemmer for $150.
