FREDRICKSBURG-- A Fredricksburg city employee has been arrested after an alleged assault inside a city maintenance building.
Zolly Hawthorne, 59, of Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with misdemeanor sexual battery.
A woman who claims she knows Hawthorne says he assaulted her on Dec. 14 in a city maintenance building at 1000 Tyler St. She was not physically injured.
Hawthorne is an employee for the Public Works Department. He was released on his own recognizance.
