NEWPORT NEWS -- Police say a a body was discovered behind a home and the death may be connected to a commercial burglary.
On Friday night, a restaurant was burglarized at 13633 Warwick Boulevard. The suspect broke into a side window.
Around 8 a.m. on Saturday, police got a call from a homeowner in the 100 block of Grace Street. The caller advised he discovered a body in his backyard. The home is located near the restaurant that was burglarized.
Police spokesperson Harold Eley says based on physical evidence, investigators believe the cases may be related.
