Bicyclist killed
VIRGINIA BEACH-- A Virginia Beach man riding a bicycle was killed crossing Laskin Road Wednesday.
Police say 25-year-old Juan Salazar-Bermudez rode his bike into the path of an Acura traveling westbound in the 1300 block of Laskin Road.
Salazar-Bermudez was transported to Virginia Beach General Hospital with severe head trauma and later died from his injuries.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor on the part of the bicyclist. A toxicology report is pending.
The case remains under investigation.
