NEWPORT NEWS-- Swimming advisories were lifted Thursday at three of four Newport News beaches.

Recent testing shows bacteria levels are back to safe levels at Anderson Beach, Huntington Park Beach and King/Lincoln Park Beach.  However, Hilton Beach levels are still high, so Peninsula Health Department officials recommend staying out of the water.

Signs are posted there alerting the public of the advisory.

Test results on water samples off Hilton Beach were taken Thursday and should be back on Friday.
