SUFFOLK-- An 11th grade student has been arrested for allegedly writing a bomb threat on a bathroom wall at Kings Fork High School Tuesday.
Police arrested 20-year-old Abdul Dshawn Dixon of Suffolk Wednesday and charged him with threat to bomb, a class 5 felony.
On Tuesday, a King's Fork Middle School student was suspended for 10 days after she allegedly wrote a bomb threat on a bathroom stall Monday.
School spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw says the girl has been recommended for expulsion and criminal charges are pending.
Bradshaw says steps are in place to monitor the restrooms and common areas and video surveillance has helped narrow down the possible suspects.
Since April 22, there have been eight bomb threats written on bathroom stalls: four at King's Fork Middle School, two at King's Fork High School and two at Lakeland High School. The recent incidents remain under investigation.
