EMPORIA -- A father from North Carolina faces charges, including First Degree kidnapping, after police found him and his daughter at a McDonald's restaurant Sunday.

Officers said Bryant abducted 10-month-old Tamiyah Saturday from Garner, North Carolina.

Bryant supposedly drove his girlfriend to work, but held her in the car when she tried to get out. Police said he then forced her out on Interstate 40 in Durham and left with their baby.

Police issued an AMBER Alert.

A customer at McDonald's in Emporia saw the car described in the Amber Alert: a white, 2002 Suzuki Vitara with Washington State plates (ACK7454).

Police took Bryant into custody without any problems.

He will be extradited from Virginia.
