CONCORD, NC -- Three people in Concord, North Carolina were struck by a van Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a polling location.
The incident happened at the Center United Methodist Church, a Cabarrus County polling location. Two are in critical condition.
“Our thoughts are with the injured and all those affected by this tragedy,” said Executive Director Kim Westbrook Strach.
The public is encouraged to remain aware of their surroundings as they vote at the 2,732 polling locations throughout the state.

“Voting continues and was uninterrupted at the polling location,” said Cabarrus County Board of Elections Director Carol Link Soles.
The State Board is not releasing the names of those involved.
