TRAVIS COUNTY -- Infant deaths have increased over the past few weeks in Travis County, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

In the last six weeks five infants have died in situations where they were sharing a bed with one or more adults.

The American Academy of Pediatrics says infants should sleep alone on their backs or in a safety-approved crib.

For more information call the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office at 512-854-4425.
