WILLIAMSBURG-Someone broke into a Williamsburg store and stole two bicycles.

The BMX bikes were taken from Bikes Unlimited on Monticello Avenue.

Police were called to the store around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and found the large side window had been broken.

"He broke the glass which is approximately 4 feet by 7 feet and went right for the two BMX bikes. Other bikes were tossed out of the way to clear their path," said Barry Herneisey with Bikes Unlimited.

The bikes were Felt (brand) Chasm (model) and both had a dark matte finish. One had a red stem and red hubs. The retail prices are $399.00 and $429.00, he added.

Herneisey told WVEC.com he thinks the suspect had been in the store hours earlier. "He really liked the one that had the red stem and red hubs on the wheels. He said that he would come back and get those. I believe he did," he stated.

Anyone with information about the burglary or knows where the bicycles are can call Williamsburg Police at 220-2331 or Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
