VIRGINIA BEACH—A soccer game at a sports complex ended with players being cut by a machete.

Police responded to the Rave Soccer Complex around 1:50 p.m. Sunday. During the game, police say an argument escalated into a fight between two team members. Investigators say one player pulled out a machete, and another player took out a pipe.

A teammate, who doesn't want his name printed, tells 13NEWS he saw the man come at a player with a pipe. Then another person pulled out a machete from his pants and started swinging.  He says three players were cut.

Eventually, other players broke up the fight. Police say some players suffered minor injuries from the knife. Detectives conducted an investigation, but no charges are being filed due to the lack of cooperation from everyone involved in the fight.

The teammate says he didn’t know why the fight broke out. The game was tied 0-0 when this happened.
