UDPATE: Suspicious package discovered in Norfolk now cleared

UPDATE: Police told 13News Now the suspicious packages was "cleared" around noon.

NORFOLK -- Authorities are responding to a suspicious package in Norfolk. 

Emergency personnel received the call in the 1200 block of Llewellyn Avenue just before 10 a.m., according to Norfolk police spokesperson Daniel Hudson. Nearby homes are currently being evacuated. 

Llewellyn Avenue and a portion of Princess Anne Road have been shut down while police investigate.
