VIRGINIA BEACH -- A woman was transported to a hospital after being rescued from a house fire late Friday night.
Firefighters responded to a residence in the 4300 block of Sugarleaf Court just after 10:00 p.m.
Crews forced their way inside the home and discovered a female victim inside. No other occupants were in the home at the time of the fire.
The woman was taken to a local hospital.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
